A Place Once Visited

The images from this series focus on bringing to the present the fleeting moments that have become distorted in our memory. My goal is to evoke the feeling of memory and time spent in a place through a balance of abstraction and image reference. Just as our memories change over time, picking up or losing bits of information, I put my photographs through a similar process. The images are repeatedly printed on textured paper, scanned back into the computer and reprinted, allowing each iteration to slightly alter the new image from the original source.
